Why should I shadow prospective salons?

Shadowing a prospective salon is a great way to get an insider's look at the atmosphere, the team, the culture, and the clientele. Not only will it give you a better understanding of the job requirements, it's a great way to show off your witty personality!

How many salons should you shadow before you choose one to work at?

It's a great idea to shadow several salons before deciding which one to work at.  You may want to start with two or three salons and compare their services, staff, and environment. This will give you the opportunity to determine which salon best suits your needs and preferences.

How many times should I shadow a salon?

If you're looking to get a general overview of the salon's operations, their culture, and their clientele, one or two visits might suffice. If you're interested in learning more about the day-to-day operations, meeting all of the team, figuring out if it is the salon for you, you may want to shadow the salon a few more times.
